RYA Diesel Engine Maintenance

The RNLI tell us that the most common reason for call outs is machinery failure. Many of these call outs would be avoided if more yachtsmen (sail and power alike) had a better understanding of how the engine works and how to carry out regular checks and routine maintenance.
This is a one day course and students have full access to a two real engines in the classroom. We have a Volvo Penta and a Yanmar that you can take apart and re assemble.
Do not worry if you have no knowledge of engines or mechanical ability, you will be surprised at just how straightforward most of the checks, fault finding and adjustments are. The RYA course notes and certificate are included in the course fee.
Haslar Sea School don't run this course "in house", however we are booking agents for several schools offering the course, and provide a vast range of available dates. We can handle the entire booking procedure for you, and can include this course as part of a package.
