The GMDSS SRC (Global Maritime Distress and Safety System Short Range Certificate) course replaces the old VHF course, and includes the "new" DSC (Digital Selective Calling) system.

During this informative day you will cover:

The course is a legal requirement for anyone that has or uses a ships VHF or a portable VHF. We believe we run one of the best courses in the UK, with a comprehensive workbook provided to save you writing down too much and missing useful information. We also provide a range of DSC simulators, including radio sets from Icom, Standard Horizon, Silva, Navman, and Simrad. These sets are exactly as you would find them on the water, however the transmitters have been removed to give a much shorter range (about the range of our classroom!). Feedback has shown that the quality of courses is much better from schools that offer "hard" simulators rather than an unrealistic computer set.

We also guarantee that we will provide a minimum of one set to 2 students, rather than the maximum permissible of 4.
