We use modern yachts from Bavaria and Jeanneau for our courses. All are equipped with fridges and heating to help ensure crew comfort throughout the year. In addition to high standards of tuition, we also like to ensure our clients have plenty of living space while with us. To this end, we only take a maximum of 4 students on our 5 day courses rather than the RYA norm of 5. The side benefit of this is that everyone gains more time with the instructor, and to practice the skills being taught.

Food is another subject close to most sailors. Rather than have pre-cooked meals, or everything out of tins, we view the cooking, and victualling the boat as an important aspect of life on board. Apart from the first evening meal, all food is provided on board for the duration of your course. Should you prefer to sample the local fare in one of the many harbour side restaurants for a change, just let your instructor know - though this will be at your own expense.

So, whether you are looking to learn the ropes from scratch, or are aiming to take your Yachtmaster, why not get in touch? Please remember that if you are planning one of the skippering courses,  it is recommended that you have worked on some of the theory beforehand. For details of our shorebased courses see the link on the menu bar at the top.
